Also affected are certain model-year 2010-2013 Lincoln MKS sedans manufactured between June 2, 2011, and October 31, 2011; and certain model-years 2010-2013 Ford Police Interceptor sedans manufactured between:[list type=”check”]

The problem in the vehicles affected by this recall is that the spring that controls the interior door handles may get unseated. If this occurs, the door may become unlatched during a side-impact collision. This condition will increase the risk of injury. The automaker said it is not aware of any accidents or injuries connected with the issue.

The second Ford recall affects model-year 2014 Ford Transit Connect vehicles manufactured between November 6, 2013, and September 20, 2014.

The problem in these vehicles is that the seat belt fasteners may not have been tightened properly and might loosen with time. This condition may increase the risk of injuries during a collision.

Ford dealers will inspect the affected vehicles and fix them for free. Ford owners can contact the automaker at 866-436-7332 for more details about both Ford safety recalls.
