Lamborghini and Bentley Recalls

Lamborghini and Bentley recalls affect nearly 1,136 vehicles. The following vehicles are included in the recall:

  • Lamborghini Gallardo coupes, Spyder and Super Leggera vehicles of 2007-2009 model years,
  • Murcielago coupes and Roadsters of 2006-2010 model years,
  • Bentley Continental GT, Continental GTC convertible and Continental Flying Spur sedans of 2007-2011 model years.

Thus, the recall affects about 263 Gallardo, 404 Murcielago and 469 Continental models. We should mention that Volkswagen Group own both Lamborghini and Benteley.

The recall of all these luxurious  vehicles is  due to a problem with the brake rotor screws that may undergo corrosion and fall out as a result. If a few of the screws fall out, then the vehicle may not suffer considerable damage. But if more than 8 screws fall out, that may lead to increased stopping distances.

However, Lamborghini has no information regarding any accidents or injuries related to the problem. According to Bentley, they do not know of any accidents related to the defect, either. The two automakers have reported that they do not know about accidents where more than three screws have fallen out.

The automakers have already started notifying the owners of the affected cars about Lamborghini and Bentley recalls. The dealers will replace the brake screws on the rotors with another material. If you are a Lamborghini owner, you can contact the automaker at 1-866-681-6276. And if you are a Bentley owner, you can contact the automaker at 1-800-777-6923 for more information about the recalls.
