Toyota is recalling about 423,000 Lexus LS, GS and IS luxury sedans. Affected are the following vehicles:
- Model-years 2007-2010 Lexus LS sedans built between May 9, 2006, and July 20, 2010
- Model-years 2006-2011 GS sedans built between January 6, 2005, and September 10, 2010
- Model-years 2006-2011 IS sedans built between August 30, 2005, and September 10, 201
The problem in the affected vehicles is that fuel may leak from where the fuel pressure sensor is linked to the fuel delivery pipe. This may be caused due to anticorrosion plating remnants. The fault may result in a fire.
Toyota will start sending recall notification letters during December of this year. Dealers will inspect the affected vehicles and fix them free of charge. Concerned owners may contact the manufacturer at 800-331-4331 for more information about the Lexus LS, GS and IS recall.
