Mercedes-Benz C-Class recall affects more than 10,500 vehicles. Affected are model-year 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedans.
The problem with the aforementioned vehicles is that a production error may cause the steering wheels to squeak and resist turning. According to the manufacturer, the problem was first discovered during September in two vehicles in Europe.
The automaker does not believe that vehicles in the United States are also affected by the defect; however, they just want to be sure. The automaker has already notified the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) about the recall. Model-year 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class owners are also being notified about the recall. Customers with questions may contact the manufacturer at 800-367-6372 for more details. Although Mercedes has not yet announced a notification schedule but dealers will fix the vehicles free of charge.
