Mercedes-Benz recall affects over 200 vehicles. Involved in the recall are the following models:
- Model-year 2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK350
- Model-year 2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK350 4matic
These luxury crossovers were built between May 31 and August 2, 2012.
The problem affecting the aforementioned luxury crossovers is that voltage in the parking lamp circuit may exceed the maximum value that is allowed. If this happens, glare to the other vehicles may be caused due to higher illumination level, increasing the risk of a collision.
The automaker started informing affected owners about the recall this month. The dealers will inspect the affected luxury crossovers and update the software calibration number of the subject control unit. All the repairs will be performed free of charge for the owners.
