Automakers Prepare for the March Sales Report
There is still a question whether Toyota was able to regain its reputation or not. But it is obvious, that the incentives offered by the automaker to boost sales and attract customers did very well.
Toyota told incentive program for April is being reviewed. The company officials announce that they are not going to stay on incentives for a long time. That was only a short-term plan to offer zero-percent financing for five years on selected models and a two-year free maintenance package.
Though the sales report for March will be delivered by the major automakers on Thursday. There are some numbers available.
Toyota, Ford and General Motors have announced that the sales amount of the companies has gone up compared to those of March 2009. It is expected that the overall industry will have an indicator of 12 million-12.5 million vehicles in the seasonally adjusted rate (that is called a SAAR). The number for the same period last year was 9.7 million.
Toyota is expected to have an increase by 35 %. Ford will stay the top auto seller in the U.S.
